Biography
Esther is a Reader in Evidence based health and social care. She worked for 14 years in community development and in children and families social work and since then has been working in the field of evidence for policy and practice. Esther’s interests are mainly in social inclusion, social justice and inequalities, locally and globally, the impact of arts/music on health and wellbeing, and child and family welfare. She has successfully led several externally funded research projects.
Esther currently leads on a Global Challenges Research Fund project in India. The project comprises a collaborative network of academics and NGO service providers. The network aims to both develop capacity for as well as to support and develop development-focused research to benefit disadvantaged communities with a focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
